- HISTORY
- In the Vedic texts (the oldest books and texts of Hinduism), we find information about Holka Bhavani; she is regarded as the goddess “Bhavani” in Hinduism. When the Aryans came to India, they brought many things with them, among which were some festivals like Holi.
- Holika was Maa Durga, named after Holak, the green chickpea. ( In Vedic texts, Holka is considered Chana/Chana/Green Gram)
- She was a saver of green chickpeas. The weather is changing, so do not destroy the cultivation of green chickpeas, and Goddess Holika should protect the green chickpeas. That’s why she is considered a savior. At the same time, she is also considered a pregnant woman, a fertile woman, and the land. VEDIC HOLI IS DIFFERENT FROM MYTHOLOGICAL HOLI

HOLI
THE LATER TEXTS—THE PURANAS—NARRATE ANOTHER LEGEND:
Holika also known as Simhika, is a demonic being in Hinduism. She was the sister of the asura-kings Hiranyakashipu and the aunt of Prahlad.

PRAHLAD AND HIRANYAKASHYAP
Prahlad: Disciple of Vishnu
Hiranyakashyap hates Vishnu. So he wants to kill his son.

So he sought the help of his sister Holika. Holika has a garment that cannot be burned by fire.
The cloth was known as Dhakhan Chira, so it cannot be burned; she said she will sit on Holika with Dhakhan Chira. But at the time when they lit the door frame for Holi, at the same time a gust of wind came and the cloth came on Prahlad’s body, Prahlad survived and Holika got burnt.
But this story is very interesting: why do people worship her? If she was a demon.
According to the new conjecture:
Holika was a wise woman, so we worshipped her, but in reality, Holika was Maa Durga, who was called Holika, which means “cheek pea.”

In Radha’s village, the men wanted to play with the women on Dhulandi, so Radha said that men cannot touch a woman, and they cannot smear you with gulal. Even if they try to apply gulal to you, beat them with sticks.
• Still not allowed to touch women; Just look at them and spread the gulal in the air so that it touches them. Then sing sing a RASHIYA (SONG
उड़त गुलाल लाल भये बदरा…………..
आज बृज में होली रे रसिया।
होरी रे रसिया, बरजोरी रे रसिया॥

DHULANDI
The next day, Holi, also known as Dhuli in Sanskrit, or Dhulheti, Dhulandi, or Dhulendi, is celebrated. In northern parts of India, children and youth spray coloured powder solutions (gulal) at each other, laugh, and celebrate, while adults smear dry coloured powder (abir) on each other’s faces.

NONSENSE WITH HOLI
- People don’t play with flowers on Holi, and Vedic rules aren’t for fools.
- Water-holi nonsense.
- In the White House, he celebrated two Hindu festivals, Diwali and Holi, but here we scoff at such festivals.
